Scranton Historic Iron Furnaces

The Scranton historic iron furnaces is one of the preserved historic places in Scranton, Pennsylvania built in the 1800's that is registered in the National Register Of Historic Places by the US Department of Interior. I learned that Scranton was a small village back then but eventually grew into a large city due to the coal mining potential and iron works as well. You will see one of the pictures below of the used to be iron furnaces. This is a great place to introduce kids to Scranton history and its settlement.

Cockfighting Sport In The Philippines

Cockfighting became famous in the Philippines not to mention the country's industrial cities. In small towns people love this type of sport and even make money out of it by gambling. I used to stay at our beach house or vacation house I should say which is about an hour drive from the nearest city. In this way I could get away from the busy life of the city and people in my neighborhood do this bloody sport as part of their routine.

Admiring The Vastness of Salt Lake

This is what I get in driving cross-country. It's a great experience no one can buys. As we enter the State of Utah I was so amazed to see in awe the enormous salt in the lake for the very first time. I could not tell but noticed the astounding view of a vast body of salt on the lake. This is the pride of Salt Lake City, Utah.  I thought it was a snow but my husband pointed out to me and said those were salt.  He added, we are no longer in Nevada.

Court House Is Filled With Pinwheels

Today my family and I are blessed with sunshine. The weather was a roller coaster this past few days. The temperature was in the 30's then it went up to the 70's. But today we take a moment to walk around downtown Scranton with our kids. There are so many historical insights and we want to check them out. My eyes was caught by these amazingly beautiful pinwheels. I found out that the Lackawanna Court House honors the Child Abuse Prevention Month. Each pinwheel represents a child helped by CAC.

Old Buildings Of Pennsylvania

The state of Pennsylvania is loaded with historical and old buildings. The architectural stone work looks so fascinating to me and it's amazing on how they were well-preserved particularly those hundred years old buildings. The classic design and structure represents the ancient history and origins of the United States of America. The State of Pennsylvania is a modern replica of ancient Europe.

Northern California's Top Destination

San Francisco is a top tourist destination in Northern California. The shuttle tour buses are packed with foreigners and tourists. The top attractions in the city are China TownGolden Gate BridgePier 39 and Telegraph HillThere are so many Asians in the area like Filipinos and Chinese. If you have a car the best inexpensive option is to park your vehicle and walk. Just don't forget to bring water and camera. Also make sure to bring a light jacket because San Francisco is known for its cold foggy climate even during summertime. The traffic in the city is crazy. It will take forever to get to your destination.
